Trinity Lutheran Church Missouri-Synod (Lexington, Nebraska)
Trinity Lutheran was originally organized in October of 1930 as Christ Lutheran Church. , but changed its name to Trinity Lutheran in 1938. There have been many changes over those 92 years. The original building was purchased from the Episcopal Church at it's present location, but then built the main structure you see today in 1954. There were education additions in 1959 and 1974 and a small remodeling project in 2019 to the entry, including handicap accessible bathrooms and vestibule on the front of the building.
There have been eight pastors who have served Trinity along with six DCE's and a Director of Evangelism. In 1997 a Hispanic ministry called La Trinidad was begun as a part of the congregation and eventually developed into its own separate Hispanic congregation called Espiritu Santo, which worshiped in an education wing of Trinity. By 2014, that congregation had declined and closed as a congregation. Since that time efforts with the Lexington community have been to reach out to our diverse community with various outreach endeavors with a goal of not starting another separate congregation, but being a diverse and open congregation to all, resembling John's vision in Revelation.
